Empty Homes Community Grants Programme
This Programme provides access to public funding from the Department for Communities & Local Government (DCLG) to local community led housing organisations. This is an important step, because over the years funding for housing has become increasingly restricted to larger housing organisations which have to be registered with The Homes & Communities Agency (HCA).
GIPSIL received a contribution towards the cost of bringing 10 empty homes back into use. Elevate managed the whole programme from purchase to completion. Many volunteers were engaged over the course of this programme and 10 newly renovated homes were occupied following the completion of the 10 property renovations
